Ken,

    When you type 'show startup-config' or 'show config' what is shown?  Is
your saved configuration there?

    How did you initially set up the config-register?  I think the IGS has a
hardware configuration register IIRC used for IOS releases prior to 9.1.
It's on the back of the router.  It's a set of dip switches correspond to
the newer software config-register.  Typically I've seen 0x0102 or 0x2102
used for normal startup.  If counting from the right, starting at zero, bit
6 set (0x0142) ignores the configuration.  On the dip switches, that's
number seven, as shown below:

0x0102 = 0000 0001 0000 0010    1's = 'on', 0's = 'off'
0x0142 = 0000 0001 0100 0010

If it's in software (IOS Release 9.1 or later), just go into Router(config)#
and type 'config-register 0x0102'  It should read the configuration upon
startup.
