If you can't get the router to boot at all and you have a second(simillar)
2600 router,
remove the FLASH(SIMM/DIMM ??) from the router and put it in the bad router
and see if it will boot from the new flash.
I remember doing this once when the flash would not hold the config on my
router after I reboot. (yes I did a wri mem :0 )

and it is working perfectly.
yesterday i downloaded the 12.1 version of IOS it was
downloaded and then finally router asked that , u want
to delete the previous version or not?
i entered yes. after that router is not booting
neither with new version nor old version.
what to do.?
