I have done similar configuration to a 2600 series router.
router(config)#bridge 1 protocol ieee
router(config)#int s0/0 (and all the other interfaces that you want
to participate in bridging)
router(config-if)#bridge-group 1
router(config-if)#Crtl^Z
router#show spanning-tree
All I know on this is for bridging. If you want to remove this
configuration, use the "no ...." command.
