check the jumpers... When I set mine up to operate as DCE, I had not changed 
the jumpers, so they were still set to DTE. I plugged in the DCE side of the 
cable, and did a show controller and it listed them all as DCE. Show 
controller will only tell you what side of the cable is attached... You 
should physically inspect the jumpers to be 100 percent sure. I am not 
saying that this is definitely the issue, just that issuing the show 
controller is not 100 percent verification of the state of the jumpers.
