Hi there,
1)I want to know whether when WAN service point said our link is 256K, will
they guarantee the bandwidth is 256K all the time. How do we want that we
are not being cheated. As sometime we feel the link is very slow, but we
checked the utilisation is not high.
2)When I do a sh controller s1/1 (example), I saw the clock rate is
clockrate 1983252 it mean the bandwidth of the 192K? If the bandwidth is
not optimal all the time, will this value 1983252 be changed or reduced.
3)I got a Frame-relay question, I have a few frame-relay links, say 3 links,
they are all configured under S1/1's sub interface, eg s1/1.1, s1/1.2,
s1/1.3 If the clock rate of s1/1 main interface is 192K. Does it mean this
value should be the sum of all sub interface CIR or the sum of all sub
interface PORT SPEED not they are not related at all. Speed of sub int can
be changed regardless of speed of main interface.
4)In FR, CIR+EIR=port speed or clock speed , but it is not considered as
bandwidth. But for leased line, when we said the bandwidth is 192K does it
mean the port speed or the bandwidth??
