I would:

(1) Double-check that flow-control is set to NONE and not HARDWARE

(2) Try a different rollover cable (make sure the wires are mirrored:
1-8,2-7,3-6,etc..).

Ole

Subject: console port hang [7:12027]

I have extended my console port with the CAT5 roll over cable and it
extended to 10 meters .... i worked for months on this cable and now
last month two of my router console port is hang out ... Console screen
is frozen but it is excepting data from console port so i blindly place
a password on VTY and have access the router from interface.
If someone can tell me what is the problem.

The terminal config is OK
the cable is OK
