I remember amazon having a flat rate for shipping. Considering the time it takes to receive the books(buyer 1 to 2 days from Amazon, and a week or more from bookpool), and the hassle free return policy, I think they can be competitve, at least for me. If they weren't, they would be out of business by now. B&N isn't that bad if you can find coupons to use.
Most of my books came from half.com anyway. Of course, I didn't even care when I use to be reimbursed for books. Those were the days. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Wednesday, October 03, 2001 3:22 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: Off Topic - why would anybody use Amazon? [7:21761] www.addall.com - seems to be the best place to check. They include the price of shipping. Amazon seldom proves to be the cheapest. [7:21761] I've used them occasionally because the shipping was reasonable(and cheaper then BP) and the books arrived faster to CA. - -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Chuck Larrieu Sent: Tuesday, October 02, 2001 5:51 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Off Topic - why would anybody use Amazon? [7:21761] I continue to be amazed at what Amazon calls "discounts". the last few times I've checked, Bookpool has had the best deals, with book in stock ( some other places claim lower prices, but they always seem to be backordered ) Chuck Message Posted at: http://www.groupstudy.com/form/read.php?f=7&i=21973&t=21761 -------------------------------------------------- FAQ, list archives, and subscription info: http://www.groupstudy.com/list/cisco.html Report misconduct and Nondisclosure violations to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
