Guys, Well, I wonder if anyone is interested in a different type of study group. Basically it's through Microsoft NetMeeting or similar software that allows us to connect to people around the world. It gears toward more coordinate studying style, say, we work on particular chapter of a textbook like Caslow or Doyle at a scheduled time for a few hours. I was looking at the meeting place online or those that offers 800 # so we can have conference calls but they are expensive, so I guess we can use netmeeting to draw things out on the whiteboard so everyone can see, and we can use another chat client to connect to each other. In addition, since I have a rack of routers, we can do hands-on work on the topics that we learn too. This will be a collective effort so there will be no instructor unless someone has the experience wants to be. If you guys have better ideas, let me know.
Let me know what you think, and let me know if you want to participate on a Beta session. It's free of charge, but I think I don't want a large group, so say, a group of 5 should be enough. I am thinking about starting out with Chapter 3 of Doyle Routing TCP/IP Volume I - Static Routing. It's important that you have the book because I don't want to violate the copyrights law by posting the PDF online.
