IIRC, two or three years ago there was a young boy on the list (14-16??) who had already received his CCNP and was heading for the CCIE. If he succeeded, he probably got it without any work experience, but never heard. If you believe the premise of the TV show "The Pretender" there are those among us who can be anything they want with a minimum of effort.
