Hi, group. I just have a simple question regarding setting the Port ID manually on a switch. The Port ID is is indicated by a 6-bit field for Priority plus the 10-bit field for the Port number. The default values for the priority are 32 for CLI-based and 128 for IOS-based switches. So my question is... for IOS-based switches, how can 6 bits give you a default value of 128 and a usable range from 0 - 255? Please tell me what I'm missing.
Thanks. Elmer Message Posted at: http://www.groupstudy.com/form/read.php?f=7&i=37915&t=37915 -------------------------------------------------- FAQ, list archives, and subscription info: http://www.groupstudy.com/list/cisco.html Report misconduct and Nondisclosure violations to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
