Just to be clear, neither of these two tests are a cert. There is a new Cisco Qualified Specialist Cert, for IP Telephony Support. It requires CIPT, CVoice, and DQoS. It also requires a CCNP. In essence it is a replacement fot the CCNP Voice specialization.
CIPT and CVoice were recently revised (again). I took the last version of the tests and am preparing to take the latest version since that is what is required for the IP Telephony Support cert. Cisco Press has released both the CIPT and the CVoice class notes in book format, Cisco IP Telephony, ISBN 1587050501 and Cisco Voice over Frame Relay, ATM, IP, ISBN 1578702275. I am using both of these book and hands on experience to go take the new versions of the exams. The DQoS test is a beast. One of the CCIE's I know who works quite a lot with Voice and QoS failed the first time. It's pretty intensive and covers a lot. I'm scheduled to take the DQoS class next month, then I'll take the test.
