I do it all the time, here is an example between a 7500 and MSFC
(flexwan):

interface Serial4/1/0.16 point-to-point
 ip address 70.1.1.1 255.255.255.0
 no ip directed-broadcast
 traffic-shape rate 24000 4000 4000 1000
 frame-relay interface-dlci 16
  class dog

interface Serial7/0/0.16 point-to-point
 ip address 70.1.1.2 255.255.255.0
 frame-relay interface-dlci 16
 clock rate 2000000
!

  You can do same with 2500, 2600, 3600...
