You can't have a secondary ip address on the PIX. Using example above, you have only One public ip address assigned to the outside interface and do a PAT and static nat for your servers... -- Lidiya White -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] On Behalf Of Andy Barkl Sent: Sunday, May 12, 2002 7:47 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: PIX 501 and interface secondary IP [7:43986] I am trying to configure my new PIX 501 with a static IP address for translation to inside email and web servers. When I use the one static address assigned by the ISP, I can no longer use the PAT for outbound access. How can I configure the PIX to support inbound translation as well as outbound translation using one external static IP? Is there a method to assign a secondary address (static) on the external interface and then set the interface for DHCP as well? Your help is greatly appreciated.
