That's awfully strange. Could AB4B already be in use?? Maybe show ipx route would have some clues.
Are you using IPX RIP, EIGRP, NLSP? (NLSP requires an internal network number. Could it already be set to AB4B?) Have you reported this to cisco? Maybe it's a bug. Maybe it's related to you having so many subinterfaces that you ran into a memory overrun issue of some sort. MAYBE somebody else has seen this? ;-) Help us out here, folks. Thanks.
