Hi Irma,
Go here, and you'll be able to join.
Are you a member of Citizendium? You can join
the Forums as either a Member or a non-Member,
but it's easier to participate as a Member. If
not, why not join Citizendium? It's easy to do,
and I'm the Constable who will approve your
request. To join CZ, just go here and go through the process:
(Click on the word Register on the left-hand side of the page.)
We came under a major spam attack a couple of
weeks ago and had to take measures to prevents
hundreds of spammer accounts from being
automatically created, so now when you register
to become a Forum member, you will have to fill
out a simple little automated form that, in
theory, prevents spammers from joining. You will
then be approved for membership by a Constable, probably me....
Once you're a member and have browsed through
some of the threads, you can then click the
little blue line in the upper left that reads,
"Show unread posts since last visit" -- that will
then show you only the *new* messages that have
been posted since your last visit.
Best,
Hayford
My recently deceased husband was member of this group.
I would ver y much like to participate in a
discussion or debate if at all pòssible and
provided the issues are relevant and appealing.
I am a language teacher and translator who has
spent a good part of her life reading and writing.
Would appreciate to learn how to be be
eligible for this forum , more about the nature
of the subject matters approached, and the way
to post comments. I f I do not qualify, please
delete my name from this mailing list.
Cordially,

Wow, Hayford, forgive me, but are you ever wrong
on that one. I know from personal struggle how
hard it is to have even the smartest people
understand how to use a discuss list.
Impossible, sometimes. And the inability to grok
the arcane and 35 year old list mechanism is in
no way related to the quality of comments or
views or opinions. In fact, we want ALL
opinions and input and experiences, and without
the benefit of wide input, the loss is most
definitely very wide. It's a loss to all of us.
Perhaps a gentler approach with our fellows would be more productive?
