The migration of two Citizendium servers on September 8th ran into some difficulties. One of the servers experienced fatal disk errors after the move. The other server's network interfaces were mistakenly switched, which made it unavailable for internet access.
Greg Sabino-Mullane and I, along with 2 Steadfast Network engineers, worked over the weekend to bring the servers back into correct operation. The first server's disk was replaced late Saturday night to early Sunday morning, after which the host returned to normal operations. The network interfaces were switched back on the second server on Saturday, which corrected its internetwork access problems. In addition, there were a couple of system configuration problems that Greg and I discovered and corrected. Everything now appears back to normal. However, if anyone discovers something they believe is abnormal, please report the problem to: [email protected] Dan Nessett Member of Technical Staff P.S. Please do not respond to this message.
