*Job Title:- TSM Consultant *
Location: Stamford, CT
Duration: 6 month
Responsibility:
TSM Monitoring and Backup
· Installing and Configuring TSM File Level Client, TDP for SQL, TDP
for Oracle Clients
· Configuring Backup Schedules for TSM and TDP Client
· Making sure that the replication of primary and copy pools from
local storage to tapes completes
· Monitor Execution of DRM script (Disaster Recovery Media)
· Disk reclamation of Primary and copy pools
· Monitoring general health and performance of the TSM environment
and perform system tuning where needed.
· Coordinating with different support teams to resolve TSM Related
Issues
· Based on requests, perform restores of clients as needed, while
making sure the defined process for requesting a restore is followed (All
appropriate forms must be filled out, in compliance of Backup SOP)
· Ensure the execution of backup related scripts (UNIX, SAP, BCV’s,
etc)
· Should act as a liaison between offshore team and customer
· Making sure that the tasks that are assigned to the offshore team
is completed in a timely manner
· Send and receive tapes from IronMountain on a daily basis
· Fill enough scratch tapes to all the backup servers to ensure the
smooth running of daily processes during weekdays and weekends and long
weekends
Skills required
· 3-4 years of TSM Experience
· TSM Capacity Planning Experience
· Knowledge of Unix Operating Systems (HP-UX and Linux)
· Knowledge of Windows Operating System
· Knowledge of Tape Library and Drives
· Knowledge of TSM Disaster Recovery Mechanism

*Job Title:- HP-UX Consultant *

Location: Stamford, CT
Duration: 6 month
*Roles and responsibilities*
• Install new HP-UX and Linux systems as per Purdue standards
• Create user id requests received via helpdesk tool
• Work with DBA team to reconfigure any system related parameters for
better performance
• Assist with any and all DR related activities
• Monitor Unix server for any issues
• Monitor the backup logs of all the Unix systems and resolve issues
with the help from TSM team and Level2 support
• Open up tickets for any space issues, memory issues and CPU issues
and resolve them
• Document the environment footprint
• Assist with future growth of the Unix environment
• Open up problem ticket with the vendor and coordinate with them on
replacing any faulty hardware or resolve any errors occurring in the system
that cannot be closed by Cognizant
• Work closely with offshore team member(s) and guide them for any
activities
• Should be flexible and ready to work on nights and weekends
*Skills Needed*
- 4-5 years of strong HP-UX experience
- Upgrade experience is a plus
- 3-4 years of strong Linux experience
- Pharma experience is desired
- HP-UX superdome experience is also desired
- Hands on experience in SAP related project would be a plus
