-IMMEDIATE NEED A CONSULTANT- Job Title: Ab Initio Designer/Lead Location: Dallas, TX Duration: 12+ months w/option for additional time Overview: Client is looking for a Sr. Ab Initio consultant who has lead a team. This will be hands on role, someone who will be doing the work, reviewing jr. team members work and assigning daily task. Requirements: 1. Must have 5+ years of experience creating high level and detailed ETL designs using Ab Initio. Experience or training with r3.0. 2. Experience with Oracle 3. Data Archival and Migration experience a plus 4. Must have prior experience assisting in gathering, identifying & clarifying reporting requirements a. In-depth understanding of Ab Initio, core component sets (i.e. Dataset, Database, Transform, Look-up, De-partition & Partition), file management utilities and usage of environment variables. b. Develops and/or leads the development of prototypes 5. Must be able to perform the following activities including: a. Designing, developing and optimizing complex graphs that move and/or manipulate large volumes of data b. Expertise analyzing and optimizing performance of extracts, loads and transformations c. Strong knowledge and use of BI/DW development methodologies, standards and procedures 6. Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization. 7. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be strong and effective communicator 8. Good writing skills and ability to multi task in the support of this project.
