Send me resumes at <[email protected]> *LOCATION:** Irvine, California* *Contract length:** 18 months * *Domain**: Financial Services* *Interview Process:** Phone and in-person (or Skype)* *JOB DESCRIPTION* A global financial firm is looking for a senior Storage & Virtualization (VMware) Systems Administrator. *Essential Duties and Responsibilities* - Responsible for the day-to-day operation, management, effectiveness and efficiency of a large scale virtualization platform, delivering 100% uptime to our customers. - Provide operational support including systems monitoring, problem diagnostics, troubleshooting, resolution, escalation and analysis. - Analyzes performance indicators in order to determine whether changes to system software and parameters are needed to ensure maximum system operating efficiency and availability as directed. - Works with various vendors of the supported environment to maintain platforms with up to the latest levels of patches to ensure the maximum performance and availability of the customer environment. - Continually identify efficiencies for systems, processes and procedures. - Performs routine audits of systems and software and performs backups. - Applies operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes. - Installs and configures new hardware and software. - Responsible for adding, removing, or updating user account information, and resetting passwords, security and documenting the configuration of the system. - Troubleshoot any reported problems and be responsible for system performance tuning. - Write documentation. *Required Experience* - Able to administer physical server technologies, virtualization technologies, and virtual and storage migrations. - Able to reliably troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues - Able to confidently manage servers via the command line. - Able to multi-task, prioritize, and resolve multiple customer inquiries at once. - Capable of performing in a fast paced technical environment. - Able to work overnight, weekend on-call shifts as needed. - Performance monitoring experience. *Technical Qualifications* - 8+ years of experience working with VMware virtualization product in complex enterprise environments. - Installation, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting of VMware ESXi 5.x (vSphere, vCenter, Update Manager, etc.) - Strong working knowledge of Storage Area Networks (SAN) and strong experience with EMC storage arrays - Working knowledge of EMC vMAx, VCE, vBlock - Strong knowledge of PowerCLI scripting for VMware management automation - Experience with HP ProLiant blade servers (DL 380, G7, 380 & 560 Gen8) *Highly Desired* - VMware Certification (VCP) - Experience working for a Professional Services company *Amit* * Sr. Recruitment Manager* *Zenith tech Solutions* * Desk: **518-621-004* <518-621-0048>*6* * Fax: **518-244-4977* <518-244-4977> * 3 park Hill* *Albany, NY 12204* *[email protected]* <[email protected]> -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Citrix and Sap problems" group.
