Candidates do not need to be able to implement these improvements but they need to know what needs to be done. For example, if the specific application is C++ related this person doesn’t need to perform this remediation but needs to be able to identify the problem and work with the development team. Candidates will also review the results of the performance that the testing team has done and make recommendations. *Qualifications:* · Strong skills and proven ability to administer, maintain, develop and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the Oracle database for an enterprise application. · Ability to implement data models and database design, data access and table maintenance code using both transactional SQL and PL/SQL; resolve Oracle database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues in the enterprise application. · Experience with Oracle 11g · Experience in any of the following is a big plus: Oracle Streams, Oracle RAC, Java/C#/C++, web development, developing BI applications using Cognos, OBIEE, etc (but not a requirement) · Should be able to participate in technical designs, code reviews, and test plan/case reviews. · Good communication skills, both written and verbal are mandatory. · Candidate should have outstanding debugging and troubleshooting skills. *Need experience specifically with: * Writing and performance tuning of complex SQL queries, writing and fixing issues with complex PL/SQL code, designing logical and physical database objects.
