*6 months contract* This is for Test professional with strong DB Expertise, Knowledge of Scripting. Top 3 skills for the position: *1. Strong on Testing Fundamentals and involved in Quality deliverables for complex Products. * *2. More than just basic SQL Server knowledge. Not looking for SQL server guru, but it must be more than knowing how to run a “select query”. UnderstandingTriggers/Functions/Stored Procedures/etc. Candidates will be tested on SQL Knowledge during interviews.* *3. Ability write/program scripts * The incumbent is responsible for performing a variety of software systems quality assurance duties to assist the services delivery and product development teams in administrating quality assurance protocols required in implementing and maintaining products to ensure customer satisfaction. • Document test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures. • Test system to prepare for release to customers. • Develop testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, usability, and performance. • Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers. • Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content. • Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes. • Create or maintain databases of known test defects. • Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope and delivery dates. • Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems. • Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness, or to mitigate risks. • Assist customers and Customer Support with complex issues troubleshooting. *Qualifications:* • Understanding of SDLC and the Quality Assurance methodologies. • *More than just basic SQL Server knowledge. Not looking for SQL server guru, but it must be more than knowing how to run a “select query”.
