I know people out there have used it to handle donations, though I don't know if they are on this mailing list. You could certainly import the new donations into the citrusdb to keep track of them. Probably make the donation a one-time service type, either by using pre-made donation amounts, or make the donation service $1 and using the measured usage to input the actual dollar amount for that particular donation.
There are not any pre-made reports that are setup to show you a breakdown of customers from california, or donations under $100 or things like that, but it would be fairly easy to get that out of the database with some sql queries. Nobody would have to register with the system to put their donation into it, you would just have an order form save the information to a file and then import that file periodically using the New Customer import function.
