I may be overstating what E S says - he told me the type of overwound string my insrument had remnants of didn't exist. I meant overwound on a an iron core which I think these were (they were black so it was hard to tell what they were made of).
Also, what he offers for the instrument seems to be twisted wires. I really must make some.
