Interesting.
The frames per second are a little sparse so some of the bass notes  
don't appear to be struck in the video. Or did he pluck them with the  
left hand? Or is there someone else just playing the odd bass note?  
The others seem normal. The video is not choppy. I don't get it.

The first bass note that I do see, appears to be struck with just the  
thumb. Is that correct? He seemed to just jump his thumb over while  
cradling the risha in his fingers.

Coincidentally, I just jammed with an oud player (for the first time)  
from Bahrain last Tuesday.
