The engraving in the Michaelstein Book is laterally reversed (often happens)
but I have another illustration, I think from the same engraving, which is
the same as the painting.  (A.P.de Mirimonde: 'L'iconagraphie musicale sous
les rois bourbons", ed A & J Picard, 1975).  Also, sent me some years ago by
Patrick Delaval, a photocopy of part only, hence unidentifiable, of the
cover of a French art magazine showing another version of the painting (no
cricket, crown instead of bird) in the process of restoration.
