Indeed it does. I did not notice this before when comparing the output
of the Wadalab fonts as I had only typed in Japanese...
The next step is using a variety of fonts in the same document (a
2-sided business card using a total of 5 fonts for both english and
CJK characters). I need to convert a few more fonts, but I think the
critical step are all understood now. Fantastic!
