I attach here an example of a vertical address for letter envelopes, using various redefinitions of CJKglue, and rotations, 0pt boxes and \hphantom commands. I have managed to create macros that can do the this job for me. In future I hope that I can read address files from, say, the KOMA-Script package scraddr.
Currently the code is very messy but I think I have most of the essentials I need now. Regards, Gernot
