Let me just clarify this abit.........today cost me $93 because he insisted
on an exam because he hadn't seen this particular bitch in a year.
(duh......no reason to bring her in!)  Anyway.....had I needed more tests
done - each test would be $65 - still alot if you ask me.
We do not have a fertility practice available in the northern NJ area - if
we did, I think some of these costs would be more reasonable as the practice
would understand the needs and concerns of breeders much better than the pet
practices.  When I ask too many questions or try to tell my vet more
specific issues concerning my two breeds....I get a feeling of impatience
from him!  I'm rather sick of the attitude and am trying to find someone
else I'm happier with.  This vet, to his credit, has been a very good
diagnostician though, for our cat's problems, of which we have 9 rescues (no
feline breeding here) :-)
