Well, that may be a possibility if I lived somewhere else. There are very
very few good vets where I live up here in the mountains. The vet that I
deal with in this vet hospital group is an outstanding vet and always gives
credence to my judgement, in fact he has stated to me more than once that
if I have a breed specific problem, I should also contact my breeder
friends as they will probably know more than he does. I have alot of
respect for a vet that will admit something like that. He always lets me
assist with him during procedures and I am very happy with him. However,
I am sure that all of these office charges are paying off their new
building, which does get frustrating. Now having said all of that, I know
that my vet does patella surgery for under 400.00 per knee, which is much
much less than average surgery. (my dogs have not needed patella surgery<G>).
I do use another vet for reproduction help and she is wonderful and her
prices are very reasonable as her office is part of her house, but she is
over an hour away, which makes it difficult especially when needing
emergency help.
Kindest regard,
Kim
