Hi, Susan, Laura, and Anne;
Thanks for responding to my query, I do appreciate it. Susan,
thanks for your polite, gentle reminder to carefully chose one's words.
"Obnoxious" might've described my feelings for the situation - or rather
the actual use/reasoning of the word "regis" itself - but, yes, I could've
been a lot nicer in verbalizing it. (Good thing I apologized in advance for
being rude, did that help? lol!!)
At any rate, I did leave a voicemail with Barbara Grimm Curly to
inquire about the process for registering my affix/kennel name. I might
not like having to do so (hubby doesn't need to know about one more
check going out for the furchildren, right? Right!), but thems the rules so
that's that. Never mind that I had a good chuckle thinking about the
committee shaking their heads at allowing "that obnoxious woman" to
use her kennel name after THAT rude letter.... Ah, not that it'll happen,
but after I'd returned home, I re-read my letter, *winced*, and then read
the replies.. I did have to laugh!
That does raise a disturbing question, however. What do people do
if their affix is rejected? I can't imagine the havoc that could cause after
someone using the same name for numerous years!
You people - here on the list - are always helpful; I do appreciate it.
Thanks,
Sandra
