I would like to offer a big thank you to everyone who helped us raise in
excess of �800 (over $1100) at the championship show at Malvern last
Sunday, we were absolutely overwhelmed by this fantastic total!
Thanks are due to Fiona Bunce, who chivvied and bullied to get us some
lovely donations for our sales table... to everyone, including Pat Allison
of Heartlineuk and Lucie of fancypaw.com, who made a donation, large or
small... to Anita Cooper, who struggled down from Yorkshire on the train
with two suitcases full of stuffed Cavalier toys (cornering the world
market in Regal beanies in the process), and who is in addition an
excellent sales lady! And finally, to everyone who so generously opened
their purses to help our cause....
The most touching donation we had was a beautiful studio portrait of a
charming little tricolour, Alice, who had died from MVD; it upset her owner
too much to keep her picture, so she offered it to us to help fund MVD
research. I don't think there is any way we can thank her enough for this
generous action.
We were also given a number of items that we hope will do well on ebay, so
these will be coming up for auction in the next few weeks; I will post
details to the lists when they do.
