Yes, I know it's been discussed, but I have some new questions!!
Okay, okay, so they're new to me, and might've been discussed. Sooo,
pretty please forgive me and either answer my questions or point me to
the archives!!!
I want to have my own domain name (too slow doing it to get
darkstar.com/net/org, dangit!), and want not only the domain name, but
webhosting for the webpages, and ideally I'd like to have email accounts
(a couple of them) with my domain name. What I don't want is my
domain name on a server that posts adverts. I know that a lot of domain
companies will sell you the rights to your domain name, but that's it. So
how do you find the right company? How do you know whom to trust?
For those of you that have your dog websites 'out there' how'd you go
about doing it, how much does it cost you, what are the pros and cons
of your choice, and what might you do differently or advise?
While I really like the free webhosting from Angelfire (and that since
I do have to contend with the banner I can imbed it on the top and it
scrolls out of sight as people explore each page), I really want to have
the web address of my choice, and no ads at all. So, people, hit me
with your best shots, send any and all info my direction. Thanks in
