In Sheila Smiths book, The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Today, she says that
you can power dry the dog through a stocking, which is made by opening the
toe part of the leg section. Two holes are placed to take the two front
legs, while the rest in pulled over the dog down to the hocks. You then
power dry through the stocking. This she says will keep the dogs hair flat.
