Hi Glenn, I would never consider letting a puppy go to a show home until it is at 
least 5-6 months old.  They should have their adult teeth completely in and for a male 
both testicles descended.  At 9-12 weeks is the time when as a breeder you can weed 
out those that are definitely not going to make the grade but I would defy any breeder 
to guarantee a puppy as a show prospect at that age.  They may be showing "potential" 
to develop but especially with Cavaliers they can change very quickly and very 
radically.
