How do you get it accross to people that NOW is not necessarily the best?
That is an excellent question, Brigitte. I have often wondered about this. Our
society wants what it wants when it wants it - on a "perfect" timetable. I think not
being able to have children for a long time, and then having them when I had given up,
in God's good time, was a great teacher about patience. It taught me about the
UNimportance of our "Perfect Schedule".
The perfect children and puppies came into my life when they were supposed to. I have
even learned (something that was hard for me, coming from a family of all girls) that
having boys (imagine that!), and having them in the winter (who would choose then?!)
is all right. Any time the right time. You adjust.
I just roll my eyes when some princess calls like the pregnant woman who wanted that
puppy in time to housebreak it before her baby was born. It seems to me that these
are often the same people who end up like the people in the "How could you?" story.
When the dog no longer suits them and their timetable, they throw it away. It makes
me shudder.
Just my humble opinion.
