Hi Marilyn,
Could you please explain the benefits of this incubator? I always have
oxygen in my house and my husband built a little "incubator" out of a large
plastic bottle. If a puppy is having trouble breathing because it may have
swallowed fluid and developed pneumonia, how does the incubator help (sorry
if you explained it before but I just saw this last post and can't find the
initial discussion.) If it just supplies heat and humidity, I am not sure
humidity is good for ailing puppies. It says it maintains the heat at about
97 degrees....same as the nest. I can see where an enclosed incubator is
needed for chicks who would walk out of the nest....but puppies stay on it
and don't leave.
I am always open to new ideas and would love any help with puppies that need
an extra boost, but I truly don't know that this would make me comfortable.
What does your vet say?
Respectfully....Phyllis
