platelets in Cavaliers. Anyone remember the sites......or has them book

Greetings. Our vet has informed us that our Cavalier has a
low platelet count and is very alarmed. She thinks it may be
an autoimmune disease. Do you know if it is common for Cavs
to have a low platelet count? Do you know of a vet (locally
or nationally) who specializes in this breed? Your prompt
response would be greatly appreciated - time is of the
essence..
