A couple of people have asked me if I've heard any news of Howard
Liberman, who is a news reporter for Bloomberg network in NYC -- this is
what I know as of around 1 pm when I talked to Cass:
The story of Howard is one of the brighter parts of MY day.
At around 1'clock I couldn't reach anyone in my family, except,
blessedly, Andy's wife who said Andy was ok. So I called
Cass to see what was happening there. Her line was open.
Howard answered the phone, what a relief.
He was assigned to come in later than usual today because
of the city elections, he was expecting to work late. So he paced in his
house
like a (safe) caged bear when I talked to Cass, he couldn't get into the
city. Was thinking of trying to hook a ride in on an emergency vehicle,
there was no traffic in or out. It was amazing to me
how quickly they responded and shut down the city.
