Considering the book of Nostradamus is translated into countless languages,
and it is often studied by religious groups (yes, even religious extremists)
It may not be predicting as much as it is providing "ideas for" these groups.
We don't read it like that, but there are many with time on their hands who
do read and study it and have a deep sense that by re-enacting, or bringing
to life events in the book, it will have a profound effect on us, in a sense
giving them more power than they deserve.
To keep this Cavalier related, i don't allow my cavaliers to read that book,
however they have read "One Stormy Night"
