Hi Brigitte -
The point I was trying to make is that whether or not you co-own,
you can't prevent people doing stupid things that are detrimental to the
breed and pure bred dogs in general. Unless you are monitoring your
co-owned bitches daily, which is virtually impossible, you cannot stop
people from breeding to any dog they please if they don't care about
registering the puppies. You also can't monitor them so they let you know
when she isin heat so you can orchestrate the breeding. All theyhave to
tell you is "she hasn't come in" and you have lost the opportunity to breed.
So - that is my case for operating from a standpoint of trust.
Co-ownership cannnot protect either you or your dogs from unscrupulous
dishomest people.
