Not one single person who has bought a puppy from me thought their pup was
not going to get ill. Not only do they not think it, they know there will
probably be some problem at some point because none of us are perfect. This
is all explained in detail when people call me for a puppy.

That is why I include a health form in my puppy packet. I expect my buyers
to have their vet fill it out every year at the dog's annual checkup and
send it back to me. This way I know which puppies develop hip dysplasia,
patellar luxation, cataracts, and when MVD develops. Every buyer gets this
form and every buyer knows I WANT to know exactly when and if their dog
develops some problem. I even include temperament, anal gland problems,
back problems, and a space to put in anything on that form. I want to know
it all. So my buyers are very aware that fully testing doesn't mean they
won't have a problem but they do realize that consistently fully testing and
using past history will improve their odds of getting a puppy that doesn't
have a serious health defect.

When pet buyers ask me if I have a guaranty, I am known to often say *yes, I
guarantee my puppies will probably develop some type of problem--that we ALL
die of something!*. They laugh and say they understand perfectly well what
I mean. But then I do go on to tell them what I do do if a serious
inherited problem arises and why.
