I have several photo editing programs but my favorite one by far is Ulead Express. It is VERY easy to learn and works well. I used it with all my photos (both scanned and digital) on my website. It will *cut* pictures into many shapes, fade the picture, clear up the picture, change the color in a multitude of ways, brighten the picture, resize very easily, save in many formats, put frames around pictures, you can remove parts (such as leads), color in backgrounds anything. You can do crazy swirls and things with the pictures and turn them into water colors, or pencil drawings, add snow or rain, write words on the picture. It doesn't do nearly as much as my Paint Shop Pro or other programs, but it is considerably easier to use. It is a great program for a *beginner*.
