Hi Carol,

I'm not tring to cause or contribute to a contoversy here, however, my vet
(on the West Coast)also feels that Glucosamine/Chondroitin is the most
effective treatment for joint afflictions. My 5 year old male, Polo, has
been one Glucosamin/Chondroitin (500/400) tablet per day since he had
patella surgery at two years of age. The patella problem was brought about
by the misalignment of his hips (he has moderate HD which was undetected
until his knee went bad). Long story made short, neither his patella or his
hips give him the slightest bit of a problem -EVER! Prior to his surgery
Polo often had difficulty getting up after he's been laying down for an
extended period of time, and this was at two years of age!! Because of the
results I've witnessed with my own dog, I am firm believer in the
effectiveness of Glucosamine/Chondroitin.

All the best,
Susan
