I attended a George Alston clinic several years ago after having shown for a few years. I did learn some things that I did not know. One thing I did take home was his insistence on good sportsmanship. I remember him saying not to play "move out" by moving your dog out further in line than the others. He also said things like, "don't worry about ribbons, they will come, have fun." He can be difficult to take sometimes, but he seemed to put the dogs and sportsmanship first.
