Hi, I wanted to let you know about Esmee. Wm. noticed a string hanging from her when he walked her today. He pulled gently and out popped a small blob, it appeared to be a puppy that had been dead a very long time. The vet seems to think that we have a good chance that the rest of the puppies will be fine. He is sending the blob off to be cultured for microplasma (thanks for telling me about this as we wouldn't have known to check for this problem and my vet never mentioned it either). We'll see what happens now. Esmee looks good and is eating--- no temperature so we are still hopeful that the rest of the puppies are okay. I suspect that we may still have four as I doubt that the blob would have shown up on the ultrasound. All the best, Susan Cochran
