Hi all, I've often wondered what causes one to enter into a "breeding program" and what is the hoped for goal. In my case, I've wanted to share my life with dogs for as long as I can remember. I remember drawing endless layouts of the 'kennels' I was going to have when I grew up, accompanied by the endless lists of names for all my dogs! I never have and most likely never will have a 'kennel' but I do have my Cavaliers and I do breed them on a small scale. I personally only breed when I want to keep something for myself to show. I don't kid myself that I'm going to develop that fabulous 'line' that others will clamour for and want to use as a foundation for their own line. <grin> Anyway, I did some surfin' on the net today with 'canine breeding goals' as my search keywords and found some sites that I'd like to pass on to any and all that may be interested:
