Hi Myra, I have shipped fresh chilled semen collected by my vets who are repro specialists, had it arrive and check out fine and then, no puppies. It is so important that vets, breeders on both ends know what they are doing.
Just for your info. I had my 9 1/2 year old Australian Shepherd collected and frozen this weekend by ICSB and was so pleased that his semen quality was excellent. I was concerned due to his age. So, if you want to do this, but think your dog is too old, it is worth looking into. I was also told that my vet is the only clinic with a 100% success rate using frozen semen. I understand they are writing a protocol for ICSB-to share with others?
