This is exactly what my vet does (Dr. Hutchison's vet clinic). They have
two pickup times. If you get the blood drawn and ready by noon, the results
are back within 3-4 hours. Anytime after noon, the results are back the
next morning. We do wait one or two days after the prog. level reaches 5.

There has been some type of problem with the test kits of late. I don't
think it is an actual problem with the test itself, but more like a recent
problem in quality control--production of the test kits. Dr. Hutchison has
completely quit using the tests for now for this reason. All the blood
taken for prog. testing is sent to a nearby regular human lab.
