Or as I called my tube baby, "Mr Pissy", who refused to do anything but let
me tube him for almost 5 weeks :o) And he did live up to his name. He
actually managed a number of times to work his tongue and force the tube back
up so once when I hit the plunger I got a face full :o) He smirked at me on
that one. He also hated the First Born milk - tried two different times to
feed it to him - and he spit it back at me both times. It is much thicker
than esbilac and "to me" the small was not as appealing. This was my first
tube baby and "knocking on wood" he is doing great. Actually one of the
cutest puppies I have ever seen at 7 weeks. He just makes me laugh - big fat
face, tons of coat, huge eyes and an impish expression. Believe the first
week I was feeding him around 8 to 12 cc's (via syringe and tube) every 2 1/2
hours and by 5 weeks was up to 35-40 cc's about 4 to 5 times a day.
Thankfully I was able to take him to work with me.
