Dear Pat & Joann, It is my understanding that Fast Track is a supplement food, plus puts good flora (like yogurt does, only better) in the puppies so they can use the milk better. The last litter I had, the mother's milk seem to weaken (not in amount, but strength) around three weeks and they were not gaining as they had been, so I started to supplement, but they really didn't gain as I expected until I gave them the Fast Track, I was told by Kit, a Fast Track rep, to give for 5 days. If anyone wants Kit's information, please e-mail me. She is very knowledgeable on this item and other more natural items.
